The Biography of KB Noy:
KB Noy (Kruba Noy) is a well-known guru monk in Northern Thailand. He is an abbot of Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai Province.
KB Noy was born on 12 February 1951 CE in Chiang Mai Province. At age 7, he stayed with KB Pud, a monk at Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai. There he first started to study knowledge of Dhamma and Vipassana Meditation. Until age 13, KB became a Buddhist novice. He learnt dharma and mantras from KB Pud. After that, KB Noy traveled to study more dharma and mantras. KB Noy met KBPhromma of Wat PhraPutTaBanhTakPhar, Lamphun Province who was good at meditation. So, he learnt dharma and mantras from KBPhromma. Until age 20, KB Noy was ordained as a monk and came back to KB Pud and helped KB Pud develop the temple and the public. Additionally, KB Noy went on monk’s journey called Tudong to the woods to Thailand and Myanmar border. Tudong is a monk journey for mysticism.
Today, KB Noy is highly respected for his strong mind power and mantra. His practice is called Kammathan Vipassana, an intensive meditation without eating, drinking and speaking for 9 days. This practice takes place once a year.
